# Sign up

> Turn guest sign-up on and set opt-in, consent, and welcome copy.

**Sign Up** is under **Event Website** when the event has a guest site subdomain.

## How do I show sign-up on the guest site?

1. Open **Sign Up**.
2. Set **Show Sign Up on Guest Site** to enabled.
3. Click **Save**.
4. Click **Guest View** to preview.

## How do I change opt-in and consent?

1. Set **Header** for the sign-up page.
2. Choose **Opt In Approach**: **Single** or **Double**.
3. Optionally **Display consent checkbox on signup form**, then **Require consent checkbox** if the box must be checked.
4. Edit **SMS disclaimer**.
5. Use **Marketing Consent Checkbox** if you need a separate marketing opt-in.
6. For **Host privacy content at /privacy** and **Host terms content at /terms**, either host rich text or point to an external URL.
7. Set **Welcome message**.
8. Click **Save**.

People who complete sign-up can be created as person records and subscribed, depending on these settings.
