# Assignment rules

> Assign people to team members and route inbound work.

Open **Event Settings** → **Assignment Rules**.

## How do I automatically send messages to the right person?

1. Turn on **Assign individual guests to team members** if you want named owners.
2. Use the **assigned** and **unassigned** tabs.
3. Search or filter **All team members**.
4. Select people and **Assign** or **Reassign**.

Inbox assignment (**Assign to a team member**) still works per conversation. See [Inbox](/platform/inbox).

## Can I make certain messages go straight to one team member?

Assign the guest on this page or on their [profile](/platform/person). Combined with inbox **Assigned To**, that associate sees those conversations when they filter to themselves.
